Dealer Questions
AI vehicle videos for dealerships, answered
AutoRoll.ai creates AI VIN videos for dealerships: a finished, presenter-led video for every vehicle in your inventory, built from the photos you already have. Here are the questions dealers ask most.
The basics
What is an AI VIN video?
An AI VIN video is a short video made for one specific vehicle, identified by its VIN. AutoRoll uses the vehicle's existing listing photos and VIN-specific vehicle information to create a finished video presentation for that exact car, truck or SUV — not a generic model video.
What are AI vehicle videos for dealerships?
They are inventory videos created automatically with AI instead of being filmed on the lot. AutoRoll produces one for every vehicle you stock and publishes them to your website, so every listing gets video without cameras, crews or editing.
What is an AI spokesperson or AI actor video?
An AI spokesperson video features an AI-generated presenter who introduces the vehicle on screen. AutoRoll offers a cast of AI actors, including Paige, and dealers can request a custom avatar. All presenters are AI-generated characters, not dealership employees, and the videos are prerecorded — not live conversations.
How it works
Do we need to film anything?
No. There are zero cameras, zero actors, zero voice talent and zero production. Just existing vehicle images plus advanced AI.
How does AutoRoll connect to our inventory?
Once AutoRoll is connected to your inventory, it creates, publishes and manages vehicle video automatically as vehicles arrive. No filming, editing or AI expertise is required from your team.
How is this different from photo-to-video tools?
Basic photo-to-video tools stitch images together. AutoRoll is the next evolution of Pic-to-Vid: each video is designed to feel filmed, not assembled, with an AI presenter, VIN-specific details and the features shoppers care about for that vehicle.
Can presenters appear in any setting or weather?
Yes. AI actors can be placed in any environment, season, location or weather — come rain, sleet or snow — without putting a human presenter in harm's way.
Who is AutoRoll built for?
Franchise and independent dealerships, dealer groups and automotive marketplaces that want video on every vehicle listing at inventory scale.
Dealership setup & AI actors
Can our dealership background stay consistent across videos?
Yes. AutoRoll can set up a consistent dealership background for your vehicle videos, helping each presentation feel like it belongs to your brand. Background improvements created for video use can also be used to improve your vehicle listing-photo backgrounds, which can help offset the setup cost. Background and photo-improvement setup typically carries a one-time charge, quoted separately for your dealership's needs.
Do preset AI actors have a setup fee?
No. Choose from AutoRoll's preset AI actors and presenters with no one-time actor setup fee ($0 actor setup). They are the lower-cost, plug-and-play option. Finished videos are still charged separately at the agreed per-video price.
Can we create an AI avatar of our general manager or another representative?
Yes. With the person's permission, AutoRoll can create a custom AI avatar of your general manager or another dealership representative. Custom-avatar creation costs a one-time $597 per actor. That avatar can be reused to produce ongoing vehicle videos while you continue running those videos through AutoRoll AI. Video production is priced separately.
How do we request our own AI avatar?
Choose Create your own avatar on the AI Actors page, upload a reference photo you have permission to use, then send your contact details to request a demo. The team will discuss setup and video needs with you; uploading a photo is a demo request, not an instant avatar purchase.
Are there custom-avatar discounts for dealership groups, marketplaces or OEMs?
Yes. Custom-avatar setup is priced per actor, with volume discounts available for larger dealership groups, third-party vehicle listing sites, automotive marketplaces and OEMs. Projects involving hundreds of actors can bring setup pricing down to as low as $99 per actor, subject to a volume quote. This is not an automatic discount for smaller orders.
Video pricing
How much do AI VIN videos cost?
Pricing is per video and depends on length, resolution and volume. A typical 40–60 second video runs about $10–$15 per video. Higher-resolution videos can run higher, upwards of $30–$50 per video. Request a demo for a quote based on your inventory volume.
Is pricing per second?
No. Videos are priced per finished video, with the range set by length, resolution and how many vehicles you need covered.
Can we try it first?
Yes. Use Try It Free to paste a vehicle listing and see a sample AutoRoll video, or request a demo with the AutoRoll team.
